Damp proof membrane installation for laminate flooring.
Damp proof membrane concrete floor laminate. A damp proof membrane dpm is used to create a barrier between a concrete or screed subfloor and the floor covering that is laid on top such as wood ceramic or quartz tiles laminate or carpet. Damp proof membrane is used to protect buildings from moisture by creating a damp resistant barrier. Requires damp proof membrane between concrete floor and underlay. If your house is relatively modern there will be a damp proof membrane below the floor.
Floor is screed finished. The epoxy dpm comes as a two component system. It is low odour solvent free and most importantly deals with constant low levels of moisture in concrete floors. A liquid epoxy damp proof membrane dpm is often used as a remedial solution where an existing dpm has failed or was never installed.
This barrier is intended to stop moisture passing from one to the other.
